I compare these settings against my internal sound card and an old firewire interface.Keep in mind that this interface while supporting 48Khz recordings, it does so only at 16bit, which in my testing still delivered good results.I tested the interface both under Windows 10 and macOS Mojave, in both cases I did not install a driver, the interface was just plugged in and worked right away.However, under Mac, I noticed that the driver seemed to output a much stronger signal, which I believe can lead to a distorted sound when listening to music while turning the volume all the way up.
